Ratchet straps are an important player in securing cargo for transport, and once you understand how to use them you’ll be wondering why you ever used anything else. They hold their tension with a built-in tensioner device and have rated weight capacities

Proper threading/tightening of ratchet straps is critical. Insure all straps are properly threaded/tightened and free of damage or wear prior to each use.

To release webbing, pull and hold release tab on top assembly to override ratcheting function and open ratchet until both assemblies are in-line and top assembly clicks into detent.

To thread ratchet buckle, place webbing THROUGH slot in center rotating spool of closed ratchet.
